Join the Latino Cultural Center for Zona Abierta with author Stella Pope Duarte who will share a time of reflection, reading and dialogue centered on her novel If I Die in Juárez. The unforgettable tale of three young protagonists on the streets of the “city of murdered women,” is a pledge for the liberation of women world-wide.

Stella Pope Duarte is a critically acclaimed author, human rights advocate and college professor. Literary awards include: American Book Award, Pulitzer Prize Nomination, Independent Publishers Book of the Year Award, Foreword Magazine Book of the Year Award, Southwest Book of the Year “Top Pick,” Arizona Book of the Year Award “Best in Popular Fiction” and Arizona Highways Book of the Year Award.
