“Walk in my Shoes” Campaign – Painting the Path to ACCESS

November 4, 2015

12:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Presented by: UIC Latino Cultural Center and the Asian American Resource and Cultural Center in partnership with the Fearless Undocumented Alliance (FUA) and the Heritage Garden Student Group

Join us for a creative hands-on workshop where you can customize your own shoes* in preparation for a campus-wide walk to support of the Student ACCESS Bill. Passage of this bill  would allow undocumented students to apply for scholarships in 4-year public universities in Illinois on a competitive basis.

*We will have a small amount of white sneakers available for purchase ($5) at the workshop on a first come first serve basis. All proceeds will go towards ACCESS bill campaign efforts. Feel free to bring your own shoes to repurpose them.

All audiences are welcome to join us at this event. Captioning, ASL Interpretation and Audio-Description services will be available upon request by contacting us.
