A New Way to Look at Libraries & Books
Ever wonder how libraries and books can be used as art? Students who attended the Latino Cultural Center’s public program, Visual Poetry: Transforming Literature into Sculpture & Visual Art, were exposed toimages, sculptures, and installations that explored the complexity of modern times in relation to books, libraries, and literature. Jorge Méndez Blake from Guadalajara, Mexico presented his work and discussed his perspectives on art’s impact on society today.
