How do we counter narrate stereotypes that exotify us and orientalize us?
Why is it important to understand our cultures and identities in the face of white supremacy and heteropatriarchy?

We are not a commodity, something for consumption. We are not the ‘other’, we walk on this earth as human who belong.

Taking up space and being present by breathing, smiling, and laughing. It is important because its your identity and presence. By ignoring your history is ignoring your existence.

White supremacy and heteropatriarchy seek to oppress us and make us feel powerless by keeping us in the dark. It is important to reclaim our past so we can have a brighter future. B

By owning up to our sexuality!

We need to confront these systems because we should be seen as human. We are commodities; we have emotions, values and standards. Fuck the white supremacists and the patriarchy.

By respecting who we are & how we can improve to avoid our toxic traits of ourselves and our brothers. We need to keep our identity so we can stay rooted and exist.

Second question: It is important because it is up to us as underrepresented people to unite and uplift as well as fight against hate.
