ABC Dialogue – Advocacy Through Art: Immigration

November 29, 2016

3:30 PM - 5:00 PM

Presented by: UIC Latino Cultural Center and the UIC Dialogue Colloquium

  • How can dialogue and art cultivate democracy in action?

In this dialogue, we will look closely at the LCC mural El Despertar de las Américas (The Awakening of the Americas), to expand understanding about immigration. Around a shared meal and a facilitated dialogue we can learn together, cultivate solidarity, and challenge ourselves to become agents for social change.

The UIC Dialogue Colloquium is a group who share an interest in both the theory and practice of facilitated dialogue organized by the UIC Dialogue Initiative. All UIC students, staff, faculty, administrators, and community members are invited to participate as part of a series of experimental facilitated dialogues called Advocacy Through Art.

We are committed to an inclusive space, please send any dietary preferences/restrictions and/or accommodation requests to dialogue@uic.edu
