This documentary covers the court room drama in the case of 12 Nicaraguan banana workers who sued the Dole Fruit Company over the harmful health effects caused by the use of banned pesticides.

For the first time, foreign agricultural workers are heard in a United States court in what has become one of the most controversial trials.

Cameras inside the court room and personal interviews take the audience directly to the story.

  • Approx. 60min.

Screening followed by discussion facilitated by UIC student and Chicago Fair Trade youth organizer, Martin Macias.

If you require any accommodations please contact us at least three days before the event.

Co-sponsors: UIC Honors College, Latin American and Latino Studies Program, Office of Sustainability, Social Justice Initiative, and student organization Lambda Theta Alpha
