Bebeviejo: A lesson in Learning the Insignificant Other, the Very Old and the Very Young in Our Society

April 20, 2012

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Presented by: UIC Latin American and Latino Studies and the Latino Cultural Center

Maestro Antonio Martorell will share his view about the very old and very young as the third world of humanity. Martorell asserts that they are the most vulnerable because they don’t have economics, political, physical and the power of speech. They are subjected to cruelly and crime and they are defenseless. In this lecture, he tries at least to give them voice and to make them evident. “It is not enough, but it s a beginning” he shares.
