🕯️Communal Altar Installation
When: Tuesday, October 28, 2025
Time: 1pm-3pm
Contribute to our annual communal altar installation by bringing a photo or remembrance item of a departed loved one or political activist of your choice to place on our altar, which will be on display until Tuesday, November 4th. Plus check out the mural scene that inspired this year’s DDLM theme.
🐛 @uicheritagegarden Harvest Festival: Remembrance
When: Wednesday, October 29, 2025
Time: 12pm-2pm
Join Heritage Garden in reflecting on remembrance by creating seed bombs for community guerrilla gardens, engaging with our tea and seed library, and celebrating this year's harvest with us!
🎵 Music Performance and Ritual
When: Wednesday, October 29, 2025
Time: 5:30pm-7pm
Enjoy pan de muerto, tamales, hot chocolate and live music! Attendees are invited to contribute to our community altar and participate in our ritual offering. Stay tuned to see our special guest.
🎤 Noche de Poetas: Student Open Mic Night
When: Thursday, October 30, 2025
Time: 5:30pm-7pm
Join student organizations @mesaatuic, @uprs.at.uic, @sjpuic, @anakbayan_atuic and @sdsatuic for a night of student poetry.
