Join Mexican Students de Aztlán (MeSA), Students for the Advancement of Freedom, Equality and Human Rights (SAFEHR), Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), and Union for Puerto Rican Students (UPRS) for the first Noche de Poetas (Poetry Night) of the fall semester.

Don’t miss out on the amazing talented poets as they share their own poetic words on this month’s theme “celebrating 40 years of art, culture, and intersectionalities”
Leading the night will be our featured poet Lily Diego-Alvarez!

Lily Diego-Alvarez was born in Mexico and moved to Chicago with her parents at the age of one to the Little Village neighborhood where she currently lives. She is a second year grad student in the college of social work with a concentration in mental health. She writes poetry and personal narratives that portray issues impacting her communities.
All audiences are welcome to join us at this program. Captioning, ASL Interpretation and Audio-Description services will be available upon request by contacting the number above.
