- EVERY single piece of plastic that has ever been created since the 19th century is still SOMEWHERE on our planet. So if it never goes away, where does it go?
This documentary takes us on a journey to one of the most remote places on Earth, Midway Atoll, to uncover the truth behind the mystery of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Along the way, scientists, celebrities, legislators, and activists shed light on what our society’s vast consumption of disposable plastic is doing to our oceans, and what it may be doing to our health.

This film screening is part of the Office of Sustainability’s September Sustainability Days, a month-long celebration of sustainable living.
