Join the Latino Cultural Center to explore how love is symbolized and expressed in our daily life with author Mónica Flores Correa who will read from her book Agosto. Together with guitarist Gonzalo Cordova, she will inspire us to share stories of love and commitment. We are inviting participants to bring a story, drawing, photo or object to help us explore diverse views on What is love?
- What and who do we care about?
- How do we show our love and empathy? and
- Why is it important to nourish and sustain healthy relationships?
In addition to romantic and familial love, consider how other expressions of love – patriotism, spirituality, care of a pet or the environment – reflect our connections and commitments to people, places, objects, animals and ideals.
If you require any accommodations please contact us at least three days before the event.
