DESCRIPTION:Flowers for You, Flowers for Our Liberation: Paper Flower Bouquets, Affirmation Zines and Collective Care Conversations  Presented by the Latino Cultural Center and Heritage Garden    When: Wednesday, February 14, 2024    Time:  2pm-4pm    Where: Latino Cultural Center - Lecture Center B2    ?the moment we choose to love we begin to move against domination, against oppression. The moment we choose to love we begin to move towards freedom, to act in ways that liberate ourselves and others? -bell hooks    Join us for a drop-in open-studio where we will learn how to make paper flower bouquets from recycled and collage materials,* create love affirmation zines, and write self-love letters while drinking tea! Discuss collective care during local and global times of stress while building community through art-making!    <3 Materials for card-making and social-justice themed valentines will be provided!    *Supplies will be provided.
