Nick Oza is originally from Mumbai, India. He came to Chicago to study photojournalism at Columbia College. Shortly after, he moved to Pilsen. In many ways, the Mexican immigrant community of Chicago informed and shaped his career. He specializes in covering social issues, among them: immigration, child welfare, gangs, and mental health. His love and dedication to his work has earned him international recognition and a Pulitzer Prize in photojournalism.
