Did you know that ANYONE can learn to read and write music?
Join the UIC Latino Cultural Center and get in tune with music director and conductor Barry Araújo Kolman as he presents his newly published book “The Language of Music Revealed” (El lenguaje de la música, al descubierto). He will demonstrate how easy it is for beginners to read and compose music, and how music can bring harmony to our lives.
Dr. Barry Araújo Kolman has been teaching and conducting orchestras for 35 years, and is currently a Professor of Music at Washington and Lee University where he teaches music fundamentals, conducting, clarinet. He conducts the Shenandoah Symphony Orchestra.
Signed copies of the book will be sold at the event.
