Join Mexican Students de Aztlán (MeSA), Students for the Advancement of Freedom, Equality and Human Rights (SAFEHR), Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), and Union for Puerto Rican Students (UPRS) for the first Noche de Poetas (Poetry Night) of the Spring 2016 semester.

OPEN MIC!

Don’t miss out on the amazing talented poets as they share their own poetic words on this month’s theme Together We Stand.”

Leading the night will be our featured poet Soraya Elzeibak!

  • In what ways can we work with people outside our communities to build solidarity?
  • How can YOU help bridge communities to advance positive social change?

Soraya Elzeibak is a UIC student, poet, and activist who is currently studying philosophy and hoping to attend law school.
