Practicing Ongoing Consent
Date(s) - Thursday, April 23, 2015
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Presented by: UIC Centers for Cultural Understanding & Social Change
The Reimagining Masculinity Initiative at UIC is a collaborative effort between the Centers for Cultural Understanding and Social Change (CCUSC) to provide a space for individuals–with a focus on men–to discuss issues of masculinity and intersecting identities, engage in candid dialogue about privilege, and explore ways for men to be thoughtfully involved in changing systems of oppression.
It is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). In the spirit of this month and it’s focus on promoting sex positive message of consent we’re going to tackle the thing we hear often: how do we work in consent as an ongoing action that doesn’t kill the mode? Join this last Reimagining Masculinity dialogue and share your experiences, tips, and passion for enthusiastic consent with the rest of us.
If you require any accommodations please contact us at least one week before the dialogue.
