Join us for an interactive conversation with LVEJO leaders Viviana Moreno and Karen Canales on their involvement in the Environmental Justice (EJ) movement. They will share their past victoriesfrom the closing of the Fisk and Crawford coal plants to their new urban garden—and provide a brief update on the amazing climate march and summit in New York City. Learn about their “equitable redevelopment” efforts  as part of their EJ 2020 Plan to improve living conditions in Chicago’s Little Village and Pilsen Neighborhoods.

Little Village Environmental Justice Organization (LVEJO) is a collective of community members based in Little Village, Chicago striving for a clean and just environment. LVEJO seeks to empower local and global communities through environmental organizing and youth programming for cleaner air, open space, and a sustainable future.
