Spring Seed Swap!

March 29, 2015

1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Presented by: UIC Heritage Garden Student

  • How does seed saving conserve what we share culturally?
  • What does sustainability mean to you?

Join us for our first ever Spring Seed Swap, hosted by the UIC Heritage Garden, at the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum. We invite gardeners, organizations, and community members in the Chicago area to swap seeds, learn about seeds, and meet new gardening friends around the city.We encourage you to bring your own seeds to swap with others! The UIC Heritage Garden seed library is a mobile treasure box full of seeds, collected from the Heritage Garden, Jane Addams Hull-House Museum, and various gardens around the globe. The Heritage Garden’s seed library will continue to grow as it travels from place to place, receiving seeds from donors while offering seeds to garden-lovers.

If you would like to bring seeds from your garden or organization and need a table to set up your materials (seeds, fyers, etc.) please RSVP to heritagegarden.uic@gmail.com by Monday March 16th, 2015.

If you require any accommodations please contact us.
