Student Body Workshop by Martorell

Presented by: UIC Latino Cultural Center, the Latin American and Latino Studies Programs, and The National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts & Culture
Join us for a hands-on workshop with distinguished Puerto Rican activist, painter, graphic artist, writer, radio and television personality, Maestro Antonio Martorell.
He will be guiding a body silhouette art activity while participants reflect on migration and diaspora. The final piece will be a collective tapestry of bodies and ideas!
- Art supplies will be provided!
- Antonio Martorell born in Santurce, Puerto Rico in 1939, lives and works in La Playa de Ponce. He has been artist-in-residence for close to 25 years at the University of Puerto Rico in Cayey. He keeps workshops in Hato Rey and El Barrio in New York.
