How can we start bridging communities in segregated UIC?
Simply smile, smile to one another, least we can do
No matter how much the world disappoints you, always see the good in everything thrown at you
Come together as one, build a small community and allow it to slowly grow, sharing hope, equality and love.
We segregate ourselves, and we can de-segregate ourselves, if we wanted too…
Why do we stay quiet and think we’re different from another? It’s not until we talk that we see us in one another.
I don’t think we can, Can we? Should we? Would we?
Empathy. Empathy. Put yourself in the same place of me
What is freedom if you can’t even see me
Freedom is a state of mind a state that is mine
All lives matter we must fight for each other
Because in the fight for each other we fight for ourselves. You are me and I am you.
Even in 2014 we still die because we are BLACK so when do we overcome
Fight for common cause. Fight for common cause (tuition freeze?)
Give us (students) proxies. Give everyone a common ground.
Give students a common cause to fight for
The longest and toughest struggle is inside you. Are YOU ready for that fight?
