Unpoliticizing Womyn’s Rights!

Thursday, 5:30 pm–7:30 pm

Community Poem Heading link

How are womyn reclaiming their rights as global citizens?

How can feminism lead to restorative justice?

What does intersectional justice look like for you?

Let today be the day we say and no longer wait – I approve of MYSELF

Mom, sister, niece, grandsons, best friend, me.

Their loud, intersectional, beautiful, deeply rooted voices

Well, we talked our struggles + fight for our rights. This transcends boarders + slut (?)

Intersectional justice is the face you see everyday on the street but too busy to notice

Women in tighter education

Shattering glass ceilings and stomping on HATE SPEECH like that time we scared Trump from UIC!

(Womyn) are claiming their rights as global citizens by using our voices to tight against those patriarchal rules and mysogysnict ideologies. We’re getting at the top of our throats and (men) only hear whispers because thats what they want to hear and know that we always are winning

Well, again, women are reclaiming their rights by frightening loud or quietly. We are always using our barriers of oppression to get better always

The power women display every day throughout their day shows us their rights are for them decide what to say

Women are the core of our being!

Stop viewing or fighting for women just as a sister, mother, grandma… an extension of man as wife… view women as people 1st! Fight for rights bound to yours!
