OPEN MIC!
Don’t miss the amazing talented poets as they share their own poetic words on this month’s theme “Reclaiming Democracy.”
- How has capitalism altered the true meaning of democracy?
- What does democracy look like to you?
What can you do to ensure that this vision is accomplished?
Leading the poetry will be our featured poet Antonio “Tony B” Benavides. He is a NEIU student majoring in Sociology and Political Science. His poetry and music touch on issues of injustice and politics.
If you require any accommodations please contact us at least three days before the event.
Co-sponsors: UIC student organizations MeSA, SAFEHR, SJP, and UPRS
