Join the UIC Latino Cultural Center for a series of online conversations with environmental and climate justice leaders this fall. Speakers will highlight how front-line communities in the Chicago region, impacted by environmental pollution and climate change and more recently COVID-19, are demanding justice and putting forward a vision to create healthier and safer communities.
- Ian Zeitlin with Sunrise Movement – Chicago Hub. On passing the Green New Deal to rectify economic inequity and stop the impending climate crisis. Learn more about how the push for the GND is intertwined with the Black Lives Matter Movement and other liberation movements.
