Join us for an interactive presentation with author and activist Félix Muruchi as he shares memories of his journey as a miner, union leader, and political prisoner from his book entitled From the Mines to the Streets: A Bolivian Activist’s Life. He will share how his experiences have intertwined with greater forces at play in Bolivia and elsewhere in South America during the last half of the twentieth century.
This presentation will be in Spanish with Kim Potowski from the UIC Department of Hispanic and Italian Studies serving as interpreter.
If you require any accommodations please contact us at least three days before the event.
