Join Mexican Students de Aztlán (MeSA), Students for the Advancement of Freedom, Equality and Human Rights (SAFEHR), Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), and Union for Puerto Rican Students (UPRS) for the second Noche de Poetas (Poetry Night) of the spring semester.

Don’t miss out on the amazing talented poets as they share their own poetic words on this month’s theme, “A Movement to Empower Sisterhood.”

Leading the night will be our featured poets: Selena Priscilla Sandoval.

  • In what ways have you reimagined femininity?
  • What are some ways you feel empowered as a women?

Selena Priscilla Sandoval: Selena is a 4th year undergraduate student who is double majoring in Gender & Women’s Studies and Latin American & Latino Studies. She plans on getting her Masters in Xicana/Xicano Studies and a PHD in Sociology so that she can go on to become a professor. She enjoys writing and reading stories by women of color, and hopes to one day publish her own book.
