Presented by the UIC Latino Cultural Center

Join Mexican Students de Aztlan (MeSA), Students for the Advancement of Freedom, Equality and Human Rights (SAFEHR), Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), and Union for Puerto Rican Students (UPRS) for Noche de Poetas (Poetry Night).

Don’t miss the amazing talented poets as they share their own poetic words on this month’s theme: “Thankful for having you in my life.”

  • How has someone helped you in a difficult moment of your life?
  • What valuable lessons did you learn from this relationship?
  • How did you come out stronger?

Leading the poetry will be our featured poet Antonio “Tony B” Benavides, a NEIU student whose music and poetry focuses on activism and perseverance.

If you require any accommodations please contact us at least three days before the event.

Co-sponsors: UIC student organizations MeSA, SAFEHR, SJP, and UPRS
