Taking an intersectional approach, the Centers for Cultural Understanding and Social Change (CCUSC) present the first of two moderated discussions intended to help members of our campus community better understand their civil liberties. Topics covered will include: laws and policies related to free speech and dissent, immigration status and travel restrictions, and campus/community advocacy and organizing efforts.

Participants Include:

  • Lilian Jiménez – Policy Director, Cook County Board of Commissioners (7th district)
  • Tanya Cabrera – Associate Director for Equity and Inclusion, Office of Diversity – UIC
