OPEN MIC!
Don’t miss the amazing talented poets as they share their own poetic words on this month’s theme: “Struggles with Cultural Identity in U.S. society.”
- What does it mean to integrate while maintaining your cultural identity?
- How do your multiple identities bring creativity to our society?
Leading the poetry will be our featured poet and musician Jameel ‘J-seriyus’ Kareem, whose poetry and music touch on self-reflection and perseverance.
If you require any accommodations please contact us at least three days before the event.
Co-sponsors: UIC student organizations MeSA, SAFEHR, SJP, and UPRS
