Don’t miss out on the amazing talented poets as they share their own poetic words on this month’s theme, “Reclaiming Our Voices ”

Leading the night will be our featured poet Rowida Zaatar.

  • What methods and strategies do you use to reclaim your voice?
  • How can our collective struggles change our society?

Rowida Zaatar is a Palestinian-American and sophomore at UIC. Rowida  advocates for women’s rights in Palestine through the power of poetry, and uses her identity as a Palestinian Muslim woman to empower others and challenge stereotypes.

All audiences are welcome to join us at this event. Captioning, ASL Interpretation and Audio-Description services will be available upon request by contacting us.
