Tea Talks: Bystander Intervention Training

March 1, 2017

3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Presented by: UIC Heritage Garden

  • Have you ever been confronted with or witnessed a form of injustice and did not know what to do?

During this bystander intervention training, we will focus on ways to interrupt and remedy public instances of social/racial injustice. We will provide you with skills and strategies that can be applied to a variety of real life situations. Sharing our stories and taking action creates a strong and sustainable community support system. This is a Tea Talks program in which we aim to collectively learn, teach and share remedies for obstacles and challenges we experience.

  • Snacks and organic tea from the UIC Heritage Garden will be provided.
  • All welcome! Please contact heritagegarden.uic@gmail.com if you require any accommodations.
  • Send RSVP to heritagegarden.uic@gmail.com or on the facebook event by Monday, February 27. Priority will be given to UIC students.
