The New Environmentalists share a common goal—safeguarding the Earth’s natural resources from exploitation and pollution, while fighting for environmental justice in their communities around the world. The film features six passionate and dedicated activists to illustrate how ordinary people are affecting extraordinary change—from anti-fracking in South Africa to our very own neighborhoods of Pilsen and Little Village, where the fight against “cloud factories” and for a more sustainable society takes place.
Approx. 28 min.
Screening followed by discussion facilitated by Rosa M. Cabrera, LCC Director, about the environmental activism scene on campus, in Chicago and beyond.
If you require any accommodations please contact us at least three days before the event.
