UIC Peace Project / On The Table 2016: Awakening Hearts, Changing Lives

May 10, 2016

12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

Presented by: UIC Centers for Cultural Understanding and Social Change (CCUSC)

Join us for the closing program of the UIC Peace Project, as we host “On the Table 2016,” an initiative of the Chicago Community Trust, to talk about how we can help unite the place we call home to lead change. The dialogue will be sparked by a new mural titled “Awakening Hearts, Changing Lives.”

  • The UIC Peace Project is a year long initiative of the CCUSC. Together we are committed to catalyzing dialogue and shifting our language and actions toward peacemaking. The mural was developed through a collaboration between the Latino Cultural Center, Asian American Resource and Cultural Center, and Fearless Undocumented Alliance along with muralist Hector Duarte. #UICPeaceProject
  • The Chicago Community Trust is the region’s largest community foundation. For the past century, the Trust has connected the generosity of donors with community needs by making grants to nonprofit organizations working to improve metropolitan Chicago.#OnTheTable2016
