During this interactive presentation, Dr. Rodrigo Liendo Stuardo will explore some of the meanings that have served as a framework to the decades-long debate in anthropology around the concept of Mesoamerica. By making the connection between archeology and the social development of Mexico and Central America, this talk will explore the relationship between archaeological artifacts and life on this region.
- Currently a researcher at the Instituto de Investigaciones Antropológicas at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Dr. Rodrigo Liendo Stuardo, has been directing a multi-year archaeological project in the Palenque region. He along with his team have been able to focus on consolidating and streamline innovative research in the field of pre-Hispanic Mayan archeology.
