Presented by the UIC Latino Cultural Center

Join the Latino Cultural Center for an afternoon of creativity and storytelling. In this workshop, you will be able to design your own unique cards with messages of love for family and friends, and also have the opportunity to share your love and support with the immigrant/undocumented community. We will be sending out Migration & Transformation* postcards to those who are currently detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to demonstrate that they are not alone and forgotten, and/or to someone that can help improve the lives of immigrants.

Postcards & crafting materials will be available while supplies last.

*Migration & Transformation is a project of the Centers for Cultural Understanding and Social Change that highlights the different migration experiences of people living in the U.S. and how this shapes their identities and sense of belonging in our society.

If you require any accommodations please contact us at least three days before the event.

Co-sponsors: UIC student organizations Fearless Undocumented Alliance (FUA), Gamma Phi Omega International Sorority Inc., and Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Incorporated Epsilon Gamma Chapter
