As part of UIC's Women's History Month Celebration, join us for a conversation with scholars and artists from the great Apsáalooke Crow Nation—as they share their Native perspectives—and talk about Apsáalooke ways, people, and their work.
- Apsáalooke Women and Warriors exhibition is jointly organized by the Field Museum and the Neubauer Collegium for Culture and Society at the University of Chicago, opening at both sites in March 2020.
Panelists | Apsáalooke Scholars & Artists
- JoRee LaFrance is currently is a PhD student at the University of Arizona’s Department of Environmental Science; 2020 recipient of the Climate Assessment for the Southwest (CLIMAS) Environment & Society Graduate Fellows Program.
- Luella Brien is an Apsáalooke journalist who also runs the Big Horn County News.
- Rusty LaFrance is an Apsáalooke historian and linguist; and reporter and writer for the Big Horn County News.
- KamiJo Whiteclay is an Apsáalooke artist attending the Institute of American Indian Arts.
