Domestic Violence Awareness Month
October is dedicated as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. UIC’s Campus Advocacy Network (CAN) is hosting a series of events on campus to raise awareness about the realities of domestic violence and the impact it has on our communities. One of these events was our latest Noche de Poetas: Love Shouldn’t Hurt.
With such a great turnout and overwhelming support for this issue, the LCC wants to invite you to put your support into action! The LCC will be collecting donations for the women and children at Connections for Abused Women and their Children (CAWC) and the Green House Shelter. Bring items to our drop off box located in the Latino Cultural Center Administrative Office (lower level of LCB-2).
