Holá Cuba – A 2016 Documentary Film Series
As the United States is making historic changes in its relation to the island nation, 90 miles south of Florida, what do people in the United States know about Cuba, her culture, her people and most importantly, her revolution?
The UIC Social Justice Initiative in partnership with the UIC Latino Cultural Center presents Holá Cuba! This summer film series features 5 documentaries that provide a small window into Cuba’s past and present, especially its efforts at social transformation and the building of a new society. The series starts on July 6th and continues each WEDNESDAY until August 3rd.
