Water Protection and Indigenous Rights with Frank Ettawageshik

The UIC Freshwater Lab hosted indigenous leader Frank Ettawageshik at the LCC on October 18th, 2016, who spoke about water issues facing the midwest Great Lakes region and the world. Mr. Ettawageshik showed the audience this image, to illustrate the Great Lakes from a different perspective, and built on that metaphor by highlighting water issues in various perspectives, from international policy and economic development to the spiritual and cultural importance of our natural environment.
