Andrea Carrillo was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and moved to the West Suburbs of Chicago, where she spent most of her life. Having been exposed to some community work through her family and their experiences, she developed an interest in social justice. She is presently pursuing majors in Sociology and Latin American and Latino Studies. She was previously a student intern at the Latino Cultural Center and is involved in the student organization Fearless Undocumented Alliance (FUA). Since becoming a student educator she has trained to give tours of the LCC gallery to visiting classes and community members.
