James Esparza was a student worker with the LCC from Fall 2015 to Spring 2017, while studying for his BA in Public Health at UIC. James had a childhood in Kankakee, IL and moved to Chicago in 2012. He became involved on campus with the UIC Heritage Garden, Mexican Students de Aztlán (MeSA), the Fearless Undocumented Alliance (FUA), and as president of the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE).
