About
Ramiro Almanza-Vega was undergraduate student majoring in English, with a concentration in American and British Literature. He was born in Guanajuato, Mexico and immigrated to the U.S. when he was less than a year old, where his family settled in the Fox River Valley. The struggles of belonging to two cultures have influenced his interests and career goals. At home he participates in various cultural events organized by Latino and city council groups. He hopes to use his skills earned throughout college to aid in the accessibility of information to groups who need it. In his free time, he enjoys exploring the city, meeting local shop owners, and visiting museums.
