Was Pocahontas part of your childhood memories?

Like a great Disney classic, this extraordinary film is filled with music, adventure, and colorful fun.

Looking past the music and forbidden romance between Pocahontas and European settler John Smith, the true story of colonialism is revealed. Approx. 60min.

Join us in a discussion led by Michael Goode, Department of History, about the real story of a young woman named Pocahontas, the Powhatan people, and the European settlement in Jamestown Virginia.
