Monarchs & Pollinators Conservation

Engaging Diverse Communities in Monarchs & Pollinators Conservation focuses on the conservation of monarchs and pollinators and explores its connection with social and environmental justice. The program will integrate species such as migratory birds, dragonflies, and bats, as well as topics such as soil, water, and air quality.

The program aims to create a tool kit for monarchs and pollinators conservation using the tools created by the UIC Heritage Garden program, such as the Monarch Care Guide, informational sheets on building gardens for monarchs, and seeds that will support monarchs and pollinators habitat expansion.

Engaging Diverse Communities in Monarchs & Pollinators Conservation is supported by a grant from the USDA Forest Service International Programs.
