Valentines for Puerto Rico
On February 13th, 2020 the Latino Cultural Center supported the Union for Puerto Rican Students in their fundraising efforts for Puerto Rico through the ARTivism: Valentines for Puerto Rico. Over 50 cards with messages of love were designed by UIC students and staff and delivered by a delegation for the 3Rs: Rescue, Relief, Rebuild from The Puerto Rican Agenda of Chicago, which visited Puerto Rico the following day. Other program collaborators included the Latin American Recruitment and Educational Services (LARES) and the Latin American and Latino Studies Program (LALS).
