Share what you know – Drawing for Environmental Justice

On February 1, 2023 the Latino Cultural Center hosted an Artivism, open art studio featuring Delilah Salgado, Chicago artist.

Participants created artwork that shares their stories about how they are experiencing and responding to environmental and climate change issues affecting their lives.

Delilah Salgado is a first generation Mexican-American multidisciplinary community based artist and co-founder of “Mujeres Mutantes”, an all women’s arts collective from Chicago, Illinois. Delilah attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she studied, painting, drawing, video and performance art. She is a wife and mother of three currently living in McKinley Park with roots in Gage Park, Little Village, and Pilsen.
