Eyzel Torres

Masked Selfie of Eyzel Torres against a blue floral background with the title

My siblings and I are all very close and I love spending time with them, even if we’re not doing anything in particular. One thing that we love to do is go thrift shopping because it’s fun to just look around and find nice little gems. This is why I decided to use an old white shirt with yellow and pink flowers that I found while thrifting to make matching masks for me and my younger sister. My sister and I do everything together and I thought it made sense for us to also have matching masks!

The COVID-19 Masking Project was developed by the UIC Latino Cultural Center (LCC) in partnership with the UIC Asian American Resource and Cultural Center (AARCC) to engage students, faculty, staff, and community members in a creative and meaningful way during the COVID-19 pandemic.
