It’s my best mask because it shows I am a person with emotions and experiences, and not empty.The design that’s on my mask shows hope. My design shows how if I had a stressful day, it will end and the next day will have new beginnings.
Our frontline workers are healing the lives affected by COVID. I’m doing my part to ensure that people are safe. We live in an egocentric society, where we only do things in our own best interest. Thus, a mask forces us to think about others aside from ourselves.
The COVID-19 Masking Project was developed by the UIC Latino Cultural Center (LCC) in partnership with the UIC Asian American Resource and Cultural Center (AARCC) to engage students, faculty, staff, and community members in a creative and meaningful way during the COVID-19 pandemic.
