Responding to Environmental Injustice

Thursday, 5:30 pm–7:30 pm

Community Poem Heading link

What can we do as individuals and as a community to help the environment?
How do we keep corporations accountable for their environmental impact?

We can do something as individuals because some effort is any effort. But as a community it will be a longer impact. It’s a way to work together and spread awareness. A little try, at least try is something rather than nothing.

We can as a community is speak up to what we know is wrong, the power of citizen power can not be avoided because the voice of many is powerful to be avoided by government and companies.

Thoughts:

  • Maybe I’ll come to the LCC more prepared with questions/poetry.

What can we do?

  • Getting our voices out there.

(But what if you’re a person of color? There’s fear in this)

Thoughts:
We need to make racial injustice in all cultures known.

Holding others accountable when you see loitering goes a long way. If you see someone do it, don’t be afraid to say something.
